1. Account Registration and Verification

Eligibility: Users must be over 18 years of age.

Verification Process: Identity verification is required at registration. Accounts undergo a manual review, and approval is necessary for accessing matchmaker and chat functions.

Authenticity Requirement: Users must provide accurate and truthful information during registration and profile creation. False information may lead to account suspension or termination.

Matchmaker Profile Approval: Aunty Ji reserves the right to approve or reject matchmaker applications at its discretion. Applications do not guarantee acceptance, and approvals are based on factors determined by our team.

2. User Content

User-Provided Content: Users are responsible for any images, videos, or other media they upload to the platform. Aunty Ji reserves the right to remove or moderate any content that violates our guidelines or community standards.

Content Use: By uploading content, users grant Aunty Ji a non-exclusive license to use, display, and share their content as part of our services. Users retain ownership of their original content.

3. Payments, Refunds, and Financial Transactions

Payment Processing: Payments on Aunty Ji are facilitated through third-party providers, Stripe and PayPal. Payouts for matchmakers are managed by these payment processors, not Aunty Ji. Users bear transaction fees, and Aunty Ji is not liable for processing delays, technical payment issues, withheld payments, or platform limitations.

Refund Policy: We maintain a strict no-refund policy on platform fees. Matchmakers may offer refunds at their discretion, but Aunty Ji’s service fees remain non-refundable.

Data Removal After Payment: Aunty Ji is not responsible for data or profile removal following a payment, and no refunds will be provided in such cases.

4. User Interactions, Privacy, and Data Sharing

Consent to Information Sharing: By agreeing to our Terms, you consent to Aunty Ji and our matchmakers sharing your profile and contact information with other users. Matchmakers manage this sharing at their discretion.

User Safety: Users should never share financial or sensitive personal information through the platform. Aunty Ji is not liable for any misuse of financial information shared through the platform. We strongly advise reporting any suspicious behavior immediately.

Prohibited Behavior:

Harassment, intimidation, or abusive behavior

Hate speech, discrimination, or harmful language

False or misleading information in profiles

Commercial solicitation or advertisements

Creating multiple accounts without authorisation

5. Anti-Discrimination Policy

Aunty Ji is committed to providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for all users. We uphold the principles of fairness and equality, ensuring that all users are treated without bias based on race, gender, sexual orientation, religion, nationality, or any other protected characteristic. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or hate speech is strictly prohibited on our platform. Users who engage in such conduct may have their accounts suspended or terminated without refund. We encourage users to report any discriminatory behavior to help us maintain a respectful community.

6. Data Protection and Privacy

GDPR & CCPA Compliance: Aunty Ji respects user privacy and complies with both GDPR & CCPA regulations, granting users the right to access, delete, and control their data. Users can request information on data collection, usage, and retention practices

7. Technical Issues and Compatibility

Platform Compatibility: Users are responsible for ensuring that their devices meet the necessary technical specifications for the Aunty Ji app. Aunty Ji is not responsible for any incompatibility issues or hardware limitations.

No Liability for Business Loss: Aunty Ji is not liable for any business losses, loss of revenue, or other financial impacts resulting from the use or inability to use the platform.

8. Intellectual Property

Platform Technology and IP Ownership: All technology, including patented methods, trademarks, and copyrighted content, is the property of Aunty Ji. Users may not copy, distribute, or commercialise our proprietary content.

9. Data Security and Viruses

SSL and WebSocket Encryption: Aunty Ji prioritises the security of user data and communications. To protect the integrity and confidentiality of data exchanged on our platform, we implement Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption for all data transmissions and encrypted WebSocket connections. While these measures provide protection, no system is immune to cyber threats, including DDOS attacks and viruses. Users are encouraged to use strong passwords and keep their login credentials secure.

10. Rights Transfer

Transfer of Rights: Aunty Ji reserves the right to transfer its rights or obligations under these Terms to another organisation at any time. Users will be notified if such a transfer occurs.

11. Jurisdiction and Legal Compliance

International Jurisdiction: These Terms apply under the jurisdiction of any country where Aunty Ji operates, and users agree to comply with the applicable laws in their country regarding online interactions and data privacy.

12. Changes to Terms

Policy Updates: Aunty Ji may update these Terms at its discretion. Users will be notified of significant changes through the app or by email. Continued platform use after updates constitutes acceptance of revised terms.

13. Use of AI and Limitations AI and Manual Vetting

Aunty Ji utilises AI alongside manual review for user verification and safety monitoring. While these measures aim to enhance platform security, we cannot guarantee a risk-free environment, and users should report suspicious activities. 

14. Limitation of Liability

While we strive to provide high-quality, secure services, Aunty Ji does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free use of our platform. Users assume all risks associated with platform use, and we disclaim liability for any damages or losses resulting from its use or misuse.

15. Email Marketing and Digital Communications

Aunty Ji is committed to complying with applicable digital marketing regulations. By using our platform, users consent to receive marketing communications via email or other digital channels. Users can opt-out of these communications at any time by following the unsubscribe instructions provided in the emails or by adjusting their notification settings in the app. We ensure that any marketing practices, including the use of cookies, are compliant with relevant laws and regulations. Users have the right to manage their cookie preferences through their browser settings, and we encourage reviewing our Cookie Policy for more information. 

16. User Suspension and Termination Suspension and Termination Rights

Aunty Ji reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations of our terms, inappropriate conduct, or suspicious behavior. Terminated users forfeit any pending transactions and will not receive refunds. 

17. App Permissions and Cookie Policy App Permissions

Camera Access: Required for identity verification. Location Services: Used to assist in user matching. Push Notifications: For alerts and updates. Contact Access: Optional, for sending invitations.

18. Account Recovery and Deletion

Aunty Ji is under no obligation to recover or restore deleted accounts. All user accounts are maintained at Aunty Ji’s sole discretion, and we reserve the right to delete any account at any time without prior notice. Aunty Ji is not liable or responsible for any losses, damages, or inconveniences arising from account deletion or inaccessibility. Users are encouraged to maintain their own records of any critical information or data associated with their accounts.

19. Apple Sign-In Agreement

By using the “Sign in with Apple” feature during registration, you automatically agree to Aunty Ji’s Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy. Your use of this feature signifies your consent to these policies, even if you do not explicitly click on the “I Agree” box during the registration process.

20. Payouts and Payment Processing Policies

We distribute payouts in accordance with our platform’s policies and the policies of our payment processors, including Stripe and PayPal. Please note that in certain circumstances, there may be discrepancies in the payout amounts due to factors such as: The way our payment processors calculate and deduct fees. The handling of payouts and settlements by our payment processors. Specific terms or policies of Stripe and PayPal that may impact the splitting of payments. As a result, payouts may not always be split evenly or in accordance with the promised commission between the platform and the seller. These variations are determined by the policies and operational processes of our payment processors, which are beyond our direct control. By using our platform, you acknowledge and accept that such discrepancies may occur and agree that neither the platform nor its operators shall be held liable for any differences in payout amounts arising from payment processor policies or technical factors.

21. Commission Rates

We reserve the right to modify the commission structure between the platform and the matchmakers at our sole discretion. Changes to commission rates may be implemented at any time and will be communicated to users through updates to these terms or direct notifications. By continuing to use the platform after such changes, you agree to the updated commission terms.

22. FCM Notifications

By using our platform, you agree to receive notifications via Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM). These notifications may include updates, alerts, or messages related to app activity. Users who interact with one another on the platform may receive FCM notifications even when the app is not open. Notifications can be disabled through the app settings; however, Aunty Ji assumes no liability for any annoyance, inconvenience, or disturbance caused by receiving FCM notifications. It is the user’s responsibility to manage their notification preferences within the app. Additionally, Aunty Ji reserves the right to send notifications directly to users regarding events, news, or other updates without prior notice or consent.

23. Location-Based Data

By using our platform, you agree to the collection and use of location-based data for core functionalities of the app, such as enabling users to find matchmakers in their vicinity via the search page.

24. Newsletter Subscription

By agreeing to our terms and conditions, you consent to being automatically subscribed to our newsletter. The newsletter provides updates, announcements, and other relevant information about the platform and its services. Opt-Out Option: Users can unsubscribe from the newsletter at any time by clicking the “unsubscribe” link included in the emails or by contacting our support team. Data Privacy: We respect your privacy and will not share your email address or personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. The use of your email address is strictly limited to delivering content related to our platform.

25. Third-Party Authentication

We offer third-party authentication services for user convenience, including sign-in options through Facebook, Google, and Apple (collectively referred to as “Third-Party Providers”). By using these options, you agree to the following: Authorization: When signing in through a Third-Party Provider, you authorize the platform to access limited account information, such as your name, email address, and profile picture, as provided by the respective provider. Compliance with Third-Party Terms: You are also subject to the terms and conditions and privacy policies of the respective Third-Party Provider. Please review their policies to understand their data handling practices. Limitation of Liability: We are not responsible for any issues arising from the use of third-party authentication services, including but not limited to errors, downtime, or unauthorized access related to the Third-Party Provider. Data Storage: We do not store your Third-Party Provider passwords. Only the necessary information needed to create your account and enhance your user experience is retained.

26. User Privacy Protection & Prohibited Content Capture

We take user privacy extremely seriously and have implemented strict technical and administrative measures to protect personal data within the app. However, users are strictly prohibited from taking screenshots, screen recordings, or capturing or sharing any personal content (including profile photos, conversations, or private details) of other users without explicit written consent. Despite our efforts, we cannot be held liable for any misuse, unauthorised sharing, or exposure of user data carried out by individuals who violate these terms. By using this app, you acknowledge and accept that: You are personally responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of others’ data. Any attempt to expose, harass, or publicly share other users’ content may result in account termination, legal action, and reporting to relevant authorities. The platform disclaims all liability for damages arising from user misconduct or third-party misuse beyond our control.
